Winery Energy Efficiency Measures and Services Covered

Any qualified project that can demonstrate energy savings potential may be eligible for incentives through the WIES Program. The WIES Program offers deemed rebates as described in PG&E Rebate Catalogs, as well as calculated incentives for upgrades that are not addressed through the deemed rebate process. Examples of common energy-saving opportunities for wineries and breweries include:

  • Refrigeration system controls
  • Glycol tank and pipe insulation
  • Barrel/vessel washing and sanitation upgrades
  • Product agitation upgrades
  • Heat reclaim measures
  • Wastewater system upgrades
  • Lighting system changes
  • Boiler system retrofit
  • Other measures as identified in the project evaluation process, including emerging technologies, retrofit and custom measure opportunities, where savings can be documented.
